The four switches
posted by Eon369 - February 17 2013 08:52:22 PM
There are four houses that each have a switch in them. The siwitches in houses one and three are flipped up and the switches in houses two and four are flipped down your objective is to get all the switches to be flipped up.
But theres a problem if you flip the switch in house one, then the switch in house three also flips and vice versa. If you flip the switch in house two then the switches in both housesone and four flip. And the switch in house four just flips by itself.

What the pattern you must make to get all of the swithes to be flipped up

I'll give two tips for this one
Tip one: you can flip the switch in house four and it won't interract with any other house, ise this to your advantage.
Tip two: don't get switch happy, basicly the combination of switches you must flip to get all the switches up is not long as you may think.

Ok. So first flip house 4. That flips house4, and house2 up. But now house1 is up and since house1 interacts with house3, house 3 goes down too. Last flip house 1,which interacts with house three turning them both up. Now all 4 are up.

Acually the switch in house four just switches itself when you swith down, but it flip all the switches when you flip up. Forhot to mention that sorry. Also swith four doesn't move house two.
