Jake tells a police officer that his house has been robbed. the officer asked Jake what had been stolen. Jake replied i know of nothing. how does jake know he had been robbed?

Maybe [hide]he had a bunch of jewelry and knew exactly how much it weighed, so when he weighed it he realized some was missing, even though he didn't know exactly which jewelry was gone[/hide]?

I guess that some weight of his jeweller or gold was missing.So, He did not know which one but could know that some amount is stolen by weighting it.
