Dead Man in the Desert

There is a man lying in the middle of the desert. He is completely naked and he's holding a straw. He is dead. How did he get there?

He was a man in a hot air balloon and he wanted to go higher but he ran out of fuel for his hot air balloon so he took off all his clothes to get lighter but it still didn't work so he decided to pluck
straw from the bottom of the hot air balloon but he fell out and died with a piece of straw in his hand(holding the straw in his very own hand).
