Ant in a Cube
posted by Caprico - January 05 2011 10:15:33 AM
There is a cubical room, and there is an ant at one corner. It wants to go to the other diagonally opposite corner of the room. It can't fly. Assuming, each side of the room is 1m in length, what's the minimum distance it will have to cover to reach its destination?

Hint: The answer is not 1 + sqrt(2) or 3m.
